Grant Hassell was appointed Managing Director of AMP Capital New Zealand in May 2015 and has more recently accepted the additional role of Chief Investment Officer. With over 29 years’ experience in the industry, including a number of years heading up AMP Capital’s NZ Fixed Income team, Grant has overall responsibility for AMP Capital’s New Zealand operations. Working alongside the investment teams, Grant is responsible for delivering great investment outcomes to our clients.

Grant is also a Director of both AMP Investment Management (NZ) Limited and AMP Capital Investors (NZ) Limited.

Andrew is executive legal counsel for AMP Capital in New Zealand. Andrew has overall responsibility for the legal, risk and compliance function of AMP Capital Investors (New Zealand) Limited. Andrew’s primary responsibility is to provide legal advice and support in respect of the range of investment funds across various asset classes offered by AMP Capital and the management teams supporting those investment funds. Andrew has a master of laws degree from Victoria University awarded with distinction.

Deborah has over 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry spanning across client service, IT, business change and investment operations.

Rebekah heads up the Distribution team and has responsibility for managing the relationships with AMP Capital’s clients. Her primary focus is on managing and enhancing those relationships, through providing a clear understanding of AMP Capital’s funds and explaining the broader issues which impact client portfolios.  Rebekah has over 15 years’ financial services experience. She joined AMP Capital in 2002 and has been part of the relationship management team since 2004.  Before joining AMP Capital, Rebekah spent five years overseas working in various accounting roles for Credit Suisse First Boston, Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation and Rabobank International.

Vicky Hyde-Smith joined AMP Capital in 2001, and leads the NZ Fixed Income team. Vicky is responsible for all fixed interest and cash portfolios managed by AMP Capital in New Zealand. Vicky is also the primary analyst for all New Zealand companies, leading the research analysis and working closely with the respective sector analysts based in Sydney. From January 2016 she became part of the AMP Capital New Zealand Leadership team, and was recently promoted to Head of NZ Fixed Income.

Prior to joining AMP Capital, Vicky gained experience in the Japanese fixed interest working with the proprietary trading team at Sumitomo Finance in London.

Bevan Graham was appointed to the role of New Zealand Chief Economist in July 2011. Prior to this, Bevan was the Chief Economist at AXA Global Investors. Bevan has held a number of senior economist positions across both the private and public sectors. He began his career in financial markets at ANZ Bank before a move to Westpac where he was Chief Economist from 1994 to 2000. In 2000 he became Chief Economic Advisor to the Leader of the Opposition, a position he held until the end of 2002. Following a period back in financial markets as Head of Client Relations at Alliance Capital Management, Bevan became Chief Executive at the Economic Development Association of New Zealand (EDANZ), a position he held until his move to AXA Global Investors in 2008. Bevan has a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from Waikato University, majoring in Economics.

Greg is Head of Investment Strategy and has responsibility for asset allocation and diversified portfolio management. He has 20 years’ experience in investment markets and an in-depth knowledge of asset allocation strategies. Greg comes to us from First NZ Capital where he joined as a research strategist in the Wealth Management Research team in mid-2015. He brings extensive international experience to the role having spent nine years as a senior analyst for Credit Suisse Private Banking and Wealth Management in Zurich. Before joining Credit Suisse, Greg spent four years as global economist of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation, also based in Zurich.

Nick is the Portfolio Manager of the New Zealand property portfolio for Canadian institutional investor, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP). He is responsible for overseeing the management and delivery of investment performance of the PSP mandate with AMP Capital. Nick joined AMP Capital in 2015 and has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry across a range of disciplines and sector exposures. Before joining AMP Capital he was the General Manager of Property for Industry Limited, and has held senior roles with McDougall Reidy & Co Ltd and Capital Properties New Zealand Limited.
