Why invest?
Investing in managed funds can help you achieve your savings goals and create greater wealth for the future. Managed funds offer investors:
-
The opportunity for higher returns. Active fund managers such as AMP Capital Investors aim to generate higher returns than the market – above and beyond fees.
-
Professional and active management. Employing the expertise and resources of an active manager is particularly beneficial for those investors that do not have the time or the skill to manage their own investments.
-
Diversification. Pooling together large amounts of money enables fund managers to invest in a spread of assets which allows diversification and reduces the risk of your portfolio.
-
Access to rare opportunity. Because your money is pooled, you also get access to markets that might otherwise be out of reach.
-
Simplified investing. Fund managers take care of all the paperwork involved in the buying, selling, reporting and recordkeeping of the fund.
-
Managed funds are even more attractive with the tax benefits available to some investors with the the portfolio investment entity (PIE) regime. PIEs are a special tax investment entity which a managed fund can elect to become.
